Yes - that is from Indy. I have been feeling quite on a precipice being told to go ahead and walk this way. Wow. Do I trust Him? Yes. Yes I do. I love Him. So dearly. So completely. Why should I hesitate?
Yes, me too. I just got "Persuasion" for my birthday this year and I love it! So much like our own story. I just finished crocheting a sweater for a little teddy bear. With the cold weather coming I am now turning to the completion of my latest heavy lap-blanket. Come over sometime and we can crochet and watch a bit of Jane and have a nice hot cup of tea. Yummy!
Yes, that sounds so nice! I may just pop by sometime. LOL
I may try that with the girls; but they did sleep well last night. I don't know.
I love Persuasion I could never understand it when we used to watch it at Bethany's. That is one movie you can't crochet during--if it is your first time to watch it.
Kevin love's Jane and he insisted we buy Persuasion. Hesistantly I watched it and (embarrasingly) the third time through I liked it. I was a little slow with that one! But now it is a fave that gets passed through my family.
I love you so much! I wish I could be closer. We would have lovely times of craft+fellowship!!!
Indeed we could. I too would comment that Persuasion moves a bit slow at times but on the whole - and particularly when one reads the book - it is as heartwarming as any by our fair authoress. My particular fondness for the version I purchased was initially formed when I visited there some years past. That is to say, Heather and I went to Bath on holiday and were in the very place the movie was filmed and the very setting of the last portion of the story. How lovely.
Hey I just wanted to tell you that I pulled the girl's beds together like you had suggested and they didn't make a peep! Thank you for your advice. I hope it continues to work so gracefully
I too like my Mother before me, love Jane and all her works... At least all the ones I've seen and I must add all the ones I've see I also own because of my afore mentioned love. :-) I must confess I did not receive any as gifts but bought them with my hard earned money and therefore could be considered by some a chickflick lover. As odd as this my sound whatever you or anyonelse thinks the facts canot be denied.... I love Persuasion! What version do you have??? I have the one BBC/Sony Pictures Classics with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. Love it! Love it! and now all this talk about watching it I'll have to go and do it.
Question. Have you seen the new Jane Eyre (2006)??? If not it is a must see for all Jane Austen lovers.
Jake - yes! that is the version of Persuasion I have! The best! I have seen another movie with Ciaran Hinds that I would like to get if I can find it and that is "The Mayor of Casterbridge". It is not a Jane Austen but is very good - sad though. It is a classic by Thomas Hardy - a good hearty read.
I did see the new Jane Eyre - I did like it. I missed the beginning though so if you hear of it being on again, let me know!

Is that from Indiana Jones?!?
I miss you. I was thinking about you tonight I want to cuddle up with you and crochet a big fat blanket over some Jane Austen. You are so wonderful.
