Worship and Service

Here is a thought.

One of the ways we can worship God is in our service.
One of the things we are commanded to do is to serve each other.
One of the things we are not to do is worship anyone or anything other than God.
So, can service be service without being worship?
If so, what makes service worship and
how is our service to God different than our service to others?

By serving others we serve God, but that puts a different perspective on who God is doesn't it? - to serve an individual because of who they are is a bit like worship, in contrast - to serve others "in general" we'd need a characteristic by which would define ourselves as "servant of all" - in the 'corporate' sense then, when we serve others we serve God, but when we serve "one" (either ourselves or one person), we don't?

(Not sure what you mean by it puts a different perspective on who God is - were you just coasting your brain there?)

Serving someone because of who they are - I get that.. We should be serving God because of Who He is. And no one else should be put in a position equal to or before Him.

Servant of all. Yes. There is, however a way to rightly serve one and still be "good with God". For example. When we love and serve our spouse we are loving and serving God. This is part of the mystery of marriage and does have a lot to do with the fact that the two become one and a man loves his wife as he loves his own body. When this is displayed, it displays the glory of God. Thereby God is glorified and properly served.

Servant to all can still be a downfall if the "server" does it to be acknowledged as a "servant".

We serve God.
His command is to love each other.
We love each other. We are obeying.
His command is to serve each other.
We serve each other. We are obeying.
Thus, we serve God by obeying His command to serve each other.
